Kunder kan i øjeblikket ikke spore deres varer indefra webstedet. Vi har brug for en løsning, der giver brugeren mulighed for at spore deres varer direkte fra ordreoversigtssiden. Vi har adgang til N-shift og ønsker at vise disse oplysninger på webstedet i stedet for at brugeren skal navigere væk fra Solar for at finde ud af, hvor deres produkter er.

From the start of this project we tried a different approach that was more structured in an attempt to narrow the gap between UX and development. The result was highly successful and highlighted flaw in the system within development it self and has subsequently helped shape the wrokflow between UX SA and DEV

When I open the details of the shipment I want to see where it is now so I have an idea of how it is proceeding

When I check the tracking of the order i want to remain on the Solar site so that I don’t have to navigate back to the task I was doing

When I look at the order over view page I want to get a quite overview of what ordered are done and which are in progress so I can understand what need attention
Analysis
Existing design
The existing design was lacking in several areas that customer were frequently complaining about to busniess and sales contacts. Whilst the design looked effective at first glance a quick round of questioning to internal colleagues revealed some problem areas that were in need of some attention
Evaluation
Changes needed
Having evaluated the existing design and pin pointed areas of improvement and lacking I began work with the SA and we further established that we could reduce the site by a page by having more information intellegently layed out in the order overview page. They key findings are listed here.
- No where to track - We need to insert somewhere the ability to track and overview
- Smartkit icon - The yellow smartkit icon does not have an obvious function
- Edit - Edit is in a prominent position for a function not used very often
- Delivery icons - Delivery icons do not explain what they are
- Space - Plenty of space once opened to give more order details
- Missing info - Some of the info on orders is held on an extra page. Can we incorporate it here?

UX analysis
Having had the brief and established who was actaully going to be using this feature I began looking into the page and functions myself to assess from a UX perspective how it could be improved
SA alignment
This project was a very close alignment with the SA who was extremely colaborative and this really helped the project to iron out some of the errors in production
Stakeholder review
Having been back and forthe with the SA to establish which Ideas needed reworking and which new information had come to light we began to have a design that took into consideration all of the data limitations and design concerns which we could get approved by the senior stakeholders
Development
Once agree on the design was marked for development. When it was complete I went thorugh a review process independently and noted down all the things that neeeded correcting to align it with the deisgn in Figma.
